Questions people ask
Do I need to leave a deposit?
No. Camel Car Hire takes no deposit and never holds your card. You pay for the rental when the car is delivered, by cash, debit card or credit card.
How do you count rental days?
A rental day is 24 hours from your pickup time. If you collect at 10:00 on Tuesday and return at 10:00 on Friday that is 3 days; returning at 17:00 on Friday makes it 4 days. A return up to 30 minutes past the 24-hour mark does not add a day. There are no half days.
Do you deliver to Paphos Airport?
Yes. Both airport legs are priced by rental length. Rentals of 3 days or more: collecting the car at the airport is free in office hours (€25 outside), returning it there is €10 (€25 outside). Rentals under 3 days: €25 for each leg in office hours, €30 outside.
What are the age requirements?
Drivers must be 25 to 70 years old and have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years. This applies to every driver, including a second driver.
Is insurance included?
Basic third-party cover (TPL) is included in every rental. It carries an excess that depends on the car: €700 for a Toyota Aygo or Mitsubishi Mirage, up to €2,000 for the Nissan Serena.
Can I cancel?
Yes — free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup. Since there is no deposit and no prepayment, there is nothing to refund.
Do you accept debit cards?
Yes. We accept debit and credit cards as well as cash, at pickup.
How do I book?
The fastest way is WhatsApp: tap any WhatsApp button and send your dates, pickup place and the car you would like. You can also get an exact price on our booking page and send it to us or request the booking online. A person confirms every booking.
