No. Camel Car Hire takes no deposit and never holds your card. You pay the rental — less the €20 booking fee — when the car is delivered, by cash, debit card or credit card.

Only a €20 booking fee to secure your car, and it comes off your rental total: a €100 rental is €20 on booking and €80 when you get the keys. It is not a deposit and not an extra charge.

The fastest way is WhatsApp: tap any WhatsApp button and send your dates, pickup place and the car you would like. You can also get an exact price on our booking page and send it to us or request the booking online. A person confirms every booking.

A person at our office confirms availability and replies to you on WhatsApp, usually within the hour during office hours (08:00–17:00). Until you hear from us the car is not yet reserved.

Yes — free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup. The €20 booking fee is refunded in full if you cancel 24 hours or more before your pickup time, and always if we cannot supply the car.

Yes. We accept debit and credit cards as well as cash, at pickup.

Basic third-party insurance, unlimited mileage, a free second driver, free child seats, free delivery to any Paphos hotel or villa in office hours, and our free Camel Discount Card for 50+ shops and restaurants across Cyprus.

A rental day is 24 hours from your pickup time. If you collect at 10:00 on Tuesday and return at 10:00 on Friday that is 3 days; returning at 17:00 on Friday makes it 4 days. A return up to 30 minutes past the 24-hour mark does not add a day. There are no half days.

Yes. There are six bands: 1 day, 2 days, 3–6 days, 7 days, 8–14 days and 15–21 days. A Toyota Passo, for example, is €75 for one day, €50 a day for two days, €45 a day for 3–6 days and €43 a day for a week (summer rates). For longer than three weeks, ask us.

Yes. Summer rates apply to pickups from 1 April to 31 October, and lower winter rates to pickups from 1 November to 31 March — both tables are on this site. A Toyota Passo, for example, is €43 a day for a week in summer and €32 in winter.

Drivers must be 25 to 70 years old and have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years. This applies to every driver, including a second driver.

Yes, completely free, on any car and any rental length — as long as the second driver is also 25–70 with a licence held 3+ years.

No, our fleet serves visitors to the island.

Basic third-party insurance (T.P.I) is included in every rental. It carries an excess that depends on the car: €700 for a Toyota Aygo or Mitsubishi Mirage, up to €2,000 for the Nissan Serena.

Yes. F.C.D.W (Full Collision Damage Waiver) removes the excess and covers theft and any damage except tyres, windscreen and underbody. C.P.P (Complete Protection Package) also covers tyres, windscreen and underbody and adds enhanced roadside assistance. On the smaller cars C.P.P is €42 for a rental of 1–3 days, or €13 a day from 4 days. All prices are on our insurance page.

Driving under the influence, off-road driving and driving in North Cyprus. Cover is void if you leave the scene of an accident before the police, the insurer or a Camel representative arrives.

Yes, free of charge to any hotel or villa in the Paphos area — Kato Paphos, Chlorakas, Coral Bay, Kissonerga, Tala, Geroskipou and Paphos town — between 08:00 and 17:00 every day. Outside those hours delivery is €25.

Yes. Both airport legs are priced by rental length. Rentals of 3 days or more: collecting the car at the airport is free in office hours (€25 outside), returning it there is €10 (€25 outside). Rentals under 3 days: €25 for each leg in office hours, €30 outside.

Yes: €85 each way in office hours, €110 each way outside office hours.

No. Insurance does not cover driving in North Cyprus.
