Frequently Asked Questions
To rent a car in Cyprus, you must be at least 25 – 70 years old and have a valid driver’s license that you have held for at least three years.
C.P.P (Complete Protection Package) – Covers the vehicle with zero excess from theft and any damage, including tyres, windscreens and underneath of the car as well as enhances Road Side Assistance services.
F.C.D.W (Full Collision Damage Waiver) – with zero excess. Optional coverage – reduces the excess to zero and covers the vehicle from theft and any damage. Does not cover tyres, windscreens and underneath of the vehicle.
C.D.W (Collision Damage Waiver) – excess reducer. Optional coverage – reduces the excess to 200 – 600 euros, depending on the category of the vehicle. Does not cover tyres, windscreens and underneath of the vehicle.
T.P.L (Third Party Liability Insurance) – limited with the excess. Standard insurance which is included in the rental price. Excess amount varies depending on the category of the vehicle.
*R.S.A – (Road Side Assistance) – Can be purchased additionally. Covers any kind of RSA services required during rental period, such us evacuation, recovery of the vehicle or others when caused by customer fault.
Cases with car failure are covered by standart insurance and included in the rental price.
Some rental companies allow booking only a specific “category” of car, rather than a particular brand and model. These companies group different cars in their fleet as “analogous” or “similar,” and one of them will be provided to the client in practice.
